Australian Greensmart Award for Resource Efficiency

This beach side residence demonstrates outstanding resource efficiency through its manufacturing process where all materials are carefully selected for their own enviromental impact during manufacture taking into account sustainabily through planation timbers and recycled timebers (40%) going into compenents, low waste in manufacturing process and low use of energy in the completed home .

The emphasis of the home is on air and light and minimising the need for artificial heating and cooling.

According to the judges, this process to responsible passive solar design and adherence to other GreenSmart principles made this house the National Winner in 2008.
